Beyond Bay Area, an employee outreach group of Bay Area Credit Union raised money to purchase much-needed items for Humane Ohio’s wish list. Human Ohio, a clinic known for their low-cost spay/neutering, helps animals in our community and surrounding region live healthy and happy lives.
Employees sold cat and dog-shaped paper cutouts to Bay Area Credit Union members and members of the community. They were invited to purchase and add their pet’s name to the cutouts and the cutout was then posted in the lobby. Employees also raised funds for Ohio Humane by paying to wear jeans to work on specific days throughout the month of September.
Bay Area Credit Union’s employee outreach committee was formed over twenty years ago as an extension of the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People” however in this case, they were “People Helping Animals.”
